CTHS Matric Exam Invigilators Urgently Needed! - 6 Jun '18

Cape Town High School urgently requires the services of qualified people to invigilate the forthcoming Matric Examinations at our school. While the picture shows a lady, male invigilators are of course also invited!

Requirements:

You must be older than 25 years of age;
You must possess a valid Matric certificate;
You must possess an updated CV;
You cannot be related to any student currently in Matric at Cape Town High School.

If you qualify and would like to be an invigilator for the CTHS Matric Exams, please e-mail our School Secretary at capetown.high@wcgschools.gov.za.

CBHS National Senior Certificate Results - 6 Jan '17

The Matric Class of 2016 has done Cape Town High School proud again!

For the past three years, Cape Town High School has managed to mantain an average of 94% Matric Pass Rate!

Thank you to the matriculants for all their hard work and dedication. The teachers were instrmental in ensuring that we maintain this average. The School Governing Body are indeed proud of these achievements.

CTHS Afrikaans Learning Resources Added - Nov '15

We have added Afrikaans Grade 8 learning resources in the form of Baseline Tests (from 2013) and Teachers Guidelines.

We have also added WCED Afrikaans Grade 12 SBA Exemplars from 2014

CTHS isiXhosa Learning Resources Added - Nov '15

We have added isiXhosa Grade 8 learning resources in the form of Baseline Tests (from 2013) and Teachers Guidelines.

We have also added WCED samples of isiXhosa exams from 2014 for Grade 12.

The Matric Pass Rate for the 2014 end-of-year Matric Examinations has now been released.

Cape Town High School is very pleased to announce that our Matric Pass Rate for those examinations was...

98 percent!!!

Very well done to our Matriculants of 2014!

CTHS - Exam Rules

The following Examination Rules are in place at Cape Town High School:

The Revision Session:

·    ABSOLUTE SILENCE;

·    No sitting together;

·    No borrowing;

·    NO TALKING;

·    Revise and go over your work;

·    Failure to adhere to the rules will result in you writing the exam once everyone else has gone home;

·    You may NOT leave the room for any reason;

·    The teacher must maintain 100% silence in the class.

During the Exam:

·    No pieces of paper allowed anywhere on your person;

·    No electronic devices allowed in the venues;

·    Cell phones must be SWITCHED OFF, not on silent mode;

·    Absolute silence, no communication of any type is allowed between learners;

·    Raise your hand if you have a query and wait for the invigilator to come to you;

·    No Tipp-Ex or correcting fluids allowed;

·    No borrowing or lending of equipment;

·    All bags must be placed in the front or back of the venue;

·    No looking around;

·    You may not deface (colour in, draw pictures, etc.) on the exam paper or script;

·    No personal messages may be written on your exam script;

·    Read and Follow all INSTRUCTIONS carefully;

·    Read through the question paper before answering;

·    When you have completed the paper, remain SILENT and do not look around.
